  29.   IMPORTANT! INSTALLATION AND USE INFORMATION

  32.            The Windows Master CD-ROM like all of the Master Series from
  33.       Advantage Plus does not have to be installed to be used.  You can 
  34.       insert the CD in your drive then execute GO to have immediate access
  35.       to the CD-ROM library.  Though you do not have to we recommend
  36.       installation.

  38.            Running the SETUP.EXE program from within the INSTALL directory
  39.       will create a new APLUS program group and Windows Master icon.  It
  40.       will also create the correct directories and copy the necessary files.
  41.       MOST IMPORTANT THE PROGRAM WILL EXECUTE MUCH FASTER WHEN RUNNING FROM
  42.       A HARD DISK INSTEAD OF THE CD.  SETUP will also copy the VBRUN100.DLL
  43.       file to your Windows directory.  This file is required by any of the
  44.       programs in the library that were written using Visual Basic.  (A high
  45.       level programming language from MicroSoft.)

  55.           Running the SETUP.EXE program will create a new APLUS program group

  66.       INSTALLING FROM PROGRAM MANAGER:

  68.           To run the SETUP.EXE program using the Windows Program Manager
  69.       select FILE from the main menu then select RUN.  A dialog box will be
  70.       opened prompting you to enter the file to execute.
  71.           The SETUP.EXE program is located in the INSTALL directory on the
  72.       CD-ROM.  Enter D:\INSTALL\SETUP (Where D: equals your CD-ROM drive
  73.       letter.)  Follow the setup program instructions.

  77.           Start FILE MANAGER then select your CD-ROM drive.  When the
  78.       directory is displayed double-click on the INSTALL directory.  Now
  79.       double-click on SETUP.EXE.  Follow the setup program instructions.

  89.            The following is a summary of the directory structure and
  90.       contents of the CD-ROM.
  91.  
  92.       FILES     <DIR>  - This is where all the files are.  Each program
  93.                          is stored in a subdirectory named after it's
  94.                          category.
  95.  
  96.       CONTENTS  <DIR>  - This directory contains all of the program files
  97.                          necessary for the WINCAT.EXE file.
  98.  
  99.       GO.EXE           - This program is used to start the WINCAT program
  100.                          from the CD-ROM.  Use PROGRAM MANAGER or FILE  
  101.                          MANAGER to run this file.

  103.       README.EXE       - The DOS program that allows you to view the README.
  104.                          TXT file.
  105.  
  106.       VBRUN100.DLL     - MicroSoft's Visual Basic runtime library.  You will
  107.                          need this file to be installed into your Windows
  108.                          sub-directory if you try to run any programs that
  109.                          have been written using Visual Basic.  The SETUP.EXE
  110.                          will install this automatically.

  118.    INSTALLING SPEAKER DEVICE DRIVER

  121.              MicroSoft Windows is capable of assigning digitized sound
  122.       to various events within the Windows environment.  If your computer
  123.       is equipped with sound hardware follow the manufactures directions
  124.       for installation.  If you do not have a sound board you can still
  125.       utilize high quality sound played thru your PC's speaker.

  127.              MicroSoft Corporation has made available the Speaker Device
  128.       Driver.  This driver can be obtained from the MicroSoft support BBS
  129.       or from \INSTALL\SPEAKER subdirectory on this CD-ROM.  Inside the
  130.       \INSTALL\SPEAKER subdirectory are three .TXT file that contain
  131.       information concerning the installation and distribution of the
  132.       speaker device driver.  Please read these files for installation
  133.       instructions.
